Can you pls explain me Importance of activity type Category in T code KL01/02

hai,

KL01 is creation of activity type and KL02 is Change mode. This activity will have Allocation cost element. Whatever created in KL01 will have the rate per month or perday or per product. You use according to your business sceanrio.

it ok but I need specific purpose of Activity type Category field.

Activity types describe the activity produced by a cost center and are measured in units of time or quantity.In activity type planning, control data determines whether the activity price for evaluation of the activity type is manually set or is derived iteratively through activity price calculation

The activity type category determines how, an activity type is allocated
