500 internal server error: J2EE Engine in XI

Hi Experts,

Request you all to help me to resolve the issue of ' 500 internal server error' , in the resulting browser when I run Tcode SXMB_IFR.

it is bit urgent , Pls help me in reolving issue.

I have restarted j2ee engine also but no luck.

Hi Rajini

Please restart the Following Services in J2EE engine:

sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.app

sap.com/sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app

Please Follow note 804124

Please restart ur J2EE if it dont works

Also check the patch levels were different in the source and target servers.

If it is different it will give this error. Please upgrade the server to sameService Pack

Thanks to all for UR repllies.

It was working fine till Yesterday , I have checked dev_jcontrol , dev_sdm, dev_icm and dev_icmon log files but couldn't get any useful information.

Are there any other error log files I need to check? Pls suggest.

Please check your exchange profile parameters (<yourservr>/exchangeProfile)

Hi All,

I am wondering that I am not able to login to exchangeProfile using below URL.

http://<hostname>:<port>/exchangeProfile

when I am entering user name as pisuper , it is giving " you are not authorized to view"

which user name I can use to login exchangeProfile ? pls suggest.

pisuper is having SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE role also. I think that is enough for exchangeProfile.

i had faced this issues little while go.....are u loogin in with the PISUPER if yes then check it might have got locked.....

Just now I found that date was changed. it is showing 2006 year instead of 2007.

Does that lead to get the "500 internal server error"?

Hi,

First restart your XI server and check weather all the instances are working fine or not.

Many times its happen that J2EE is in running state but its nor properly running.

Use SMICM to check weather J2EE is running.

in SMICM , ICM status is Green( Running) , I hope this means J2EE is running fine.

All the instances are running , I have checked using dpmon and jcmon.

Can you provide some details, as I requested in my first reply????

Has this ever worked? if yes, what was changed? if no, can you post the details from the log/trace/bootstrap files?

Obviously the error message is a red herring about the exchange Profile as it cannot even open this.

You should be able to launch the offlineconfig editor to make potential changes...

Until you can find out the error from the log files, no one can guess as to what the problem is! It could be Database related, J2EE related or an any number of things...

Hi Rajni,

A few suggestions to look into are:

1. Look into the Note: 804124, provide the fully qualified host name.

2. Look into the Note: 807000, especially the point of the ICM forwarding messages to the web dispatcher ( his is applicable only if u have clustered env).

3. As already suggested check if the Java server for the central instance is up and running.
