Hi all,
We are on ESS1.0, webdynpro ver. ESS 600 on EP 7.0 , with backend ECC6.0.
We are upgrading existing ESS ITS 4.6c to new ess webdynpro services.
We have configured leave request using standard workflow WS12300111 and working fine. Clients have a specific request to use existing Zee workflow which is a copy of WS20000081.
While using existing workflow, an error msg. raised saying 'Unable to Send the Request'.
Pls advise whether we can use existing workflow in the new webdynpro version on ESS and what could be possible reasons for this error. Any help in this context would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Anil Kumar.
Where does that standard worklow reside? What transaction?
Does for example - Address Change triggers any workflow in the backend when the user updates the address change from the portal.

it depends on the application if you have any workflow that you want to trigger then you can do that.
the workflows can be called via an fm or using an event.
when you ask where does the workflow reside what exactly do you mean? is it that you want to know how does it gets initiated then you have the answer above.
if you are looking at getting list of standard workflow then go to swdd transaction and take an f4 structural help you will find all the standard worflow list
for address changes you have WS01000015 I am unsure if it works with webdynpro but we can try activating and check as its an event based workflow

explain the functionality of this new workflow to your customer and tell them that there is no difference in terms of functionality between these two workflows.
NEW Workflow is much better in terms of design and flexibility.
and ya you need an ess consultant on your project. it will help you a lot in providing faster solutions.

Hi Anil,
Since you are on EP 7.0, which is a webdynpro version, it is advisable to work on WS12300111, since this is specifically for web dynpro based Leave request..
