why is it alwz necessary to use function module SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME..what it the use of calling this particular function module

The FM name generated may vary sometimes between different systems... to overcome this problem it is adviceble to use SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME.

the name of a smartform function module is a system generated name..

which is server dependent..

its somewhat like a number range.. which is diff in every server...

so to get correct name of smartform function we use SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME

It returns the name of the generated

function module.

The name of the generated function module is unique only within one system.

Therefore, you must always call the function module first that uses the form name to determine the current name of the generated module.
