Storage location mandatory

Dear Experts,

Could you please inform to make Storage Location field has mandatory in Purchase Order for the User ID. Since it is a Client level I do not want to disturb for any other company code or plants.

And also I want to make Plant mandatory while creating or changing the data in Info record.

Hi madhu

Since u want to make stg loc mandatory on user id level create a std varient for ME21N using t-code SHD0 , here u can create an user group for which this varient would be active, take the help of an abaper for more details.

Hi try this it works..

In Screen sel at doc level - basic data create new field sel key-stor loc as mandatory field.

In functional authorization create new fun as str mandetory.In that field selection space give this field sel key.

In su3 give EFB= fun authorisation no.

I hope you did first 2 steps right.

Now Go to SU3 then go to parameter tab- enter EFB as parameter ID - and give value as that no ehich you created.

Also check whether EFB is already maintained and if it is there then change same.

For your requirement, i think that you'll need to custom a user exit, since you want it in user id level, the configuration for this setup is document level for all plant.

In OMF4> ME21/21N> select basic data maintain storage location as required entry

Hi,

please follow this path

IMG..>MM...>Purchasing..>purchase order...>define screen layout at document level.

Click on the tcode ME21N and then clikcon change and then select "basic data . item"

and ther for the storage location make it as "required" and save it.

it will work
