I trying to find out if SNC encryption is in compliance with fips 140-2. More information about fips 140-2 can be found at http://www.itl.nist.gov/fipspubs/by-num.htm. Thanks for your help.
SNC is using GSS-API (<u>Generic</u> Security Service Application Programming Interface) to utilize the security functionality provided by 3rd party products. So, it depends on the actual SNC product - your question cannot be answered in general.
Thanks for your reply Wolfgang. We are looking to use Secude's Logon&secure and still awaiting the answer from them on the fips 140-2 compliance. I was trying to find out if the underlying technology i.e SNC or GSS-API are fips 140-2 compliance than the product using that technology would be fips compliance as well.
