As per the legal requirement, if the employee is eligible for ESI on the 1st day of the April or October, then the ESI should be deducted for the next 6months.
I have a scenario, where the employee is eligible for ESI deduction on 1st April but from 15th April his salary increases and he crosses the 10000 limit. Now, as per the requirement the ESI should be deducted but the system is not deducting ESI as the monthly ESI limit cross 10000Rs.
I have done all the configuration and have maintained the IT588.
FYI:- ESI is deducting properly in the normal scenario where there is no mid-month increment like this.
