We have a two server XI system in production and I want to use the load ballancing port 8101 to balance the j2ee load across both app servers. Currently we are using just the port to CEN (8001). I just want to verify that the primary place to change this is in the SLD business system for our XI system.
The reason I ask is that we recently tried changing the LB port on to Exchange_Infrastructure RFC from our application system (SRM) and it stopped working for some reason. The RFC tested out properly but the xml message failed with the error [Pipline ID, which is expeted as a value of attribute "type" in the URL, does not exist in the Integration Engine (URL=sap/xi/engine/)] "URL_PIPELINE_NOT_FOUND".
When we changed the RFC back to match what is in the Pipline URL in the SLD, it started working again. It is almost as if the exchange infrastructure is looking to match the RFC connection string with the Pipline URL in the SLD but that doesn't make any sense to me.
Any ideas?
