FTP server connection error

Hi all,

when i am connecting FTP server in MDT iam getting connection time out.

is there any possible to send the file other than FTP serevr using XI?

Kiran,

Yes, it is possible by using <b>NFS mode</b> in Communication Channel.

1. after chosing NFS mode do all required configuration.

2. Now to put file on application server (source directory path) use tcode <b>SXDA_TOOLS</b> with "<b>DXPROJECT, BAPI & CREATE</b>" values and press the copy button and upload the file on server.

3. To check whether file has been uploaded or not use tcode <b>AL11.</b>

The solution u r looking is not advisable for u. It is better u communication with Basis Admin to succeed with FTP.

is there any possible to send the file other than FTP serevr using XI? can you pls be more clear...usually you can FTP or use the normal file protocol to send the file on the local server to XI....
