Hi all,

i am confihuring a interface .this interface is all ready there in old system..is there any possibility that i can export from there and import into the new system..if possible guide4 me how to do that...

You can do this ,fallow below steps

1 Put a cursor on the "description" field of the Message Mapping object.

2 Press CTRLSHIFT0

Hi,

Yes u can export repository object as design object with .tpz file extension

Steps are

Step 1: Select software component

Step 2: Go to Tool Menu ---> Export design object

Step 3: select software component that u want to export

Step 4: It will place whole design object on the file server with ".tpz" file extension

Step 5: You can later import this file with same procedure from file server

you try to export that it will ask you for option (which part to export) might be you have only MM Program ( not sure) but it makes no difference do the complete export there and delete other things which you dnt want.....

onemore thing ,my old interface is on XI2.0..

Yu want to move from XI2.0 TO XI3.0 or PI7.0. I think going from lower version to upper version will not be a problem. Just give a try.

How u can export only mapping. As u know mapping is all depend on data type message type and other. So it is not logical and hence not possible.

yes you can very much use the interface from that system to new system (only SWCV should be something you have to take care)....

export the interface from the ols system it will create an TPZ file on the XI server....from there the ask the BASIS people to copy that .tpz file and put into the import folder of the new system and then open IR and choose Import objects and select this .TPZ file....

It is possible!

Just go to Integration Repository and export your object. It will be saved as .tpz file. Now come to your new system put the file at appropriate location and the go to IR of new system TOOLS -

> Import Design object.

Note: SWCV should be same in both the systems.
