Stock type S

Good morning,

If stock type is set to S what does this influennce?

what is the comparison between stock types, is there a comparison graph anywhere?

Possible stocks are:

unrestricted-use stock (blank, F)

stock in quality inspection (X, 2)

blocked stock (S, 3)

What this means is if Stock type "S" is set when posting GR, the stock is posted to Block stock. This type is generally used when Purchasing some clients prefer to intially post the stock to Blocked and from there they move to QI or Unrestricted based on Inpsection.

If it was "X" or "2" then it would post to quality Inspection. Stock has to be posted from QI to Unrestricted through QM UD and Stock posting funcanality for Inspection Lot.

If it was "F" or Blank then system posts the material directly to unrestricted, meaning that material is directly available for use.
