No Agent Found - No message to WF Admin Inbox

Hi everyone,

I think I have a problem. A workflow has ended with error no agent found, which is fine as there is no agent. However I am expecting a workitem message into the SAP Inbox to indicate that the workflow has errored in this way. However no message is appearing. I have checked numerous things but find myself at a loss to explain the reason.

Any help would be great appreciated !

Hi,

From workflow log , what is the status of workflow ? Error or Inprocess?

The status in the log is set to Error.

SAP Enterprise. I

noticed the work item with error has not been created. maybe this is the problem ? although I would have thought that any error regardless of this should be sent to WF Admin Inbox. I also notice that the processing time of the Workflow continues to Increase despite there being an ERROR - it's now at over 23 hours ??

Yes workflow admin is assigned - but thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Damien

The rule seems to have ended in exception that is why you do not see a WI created for that step. The time elapsed would keep incrementing unti the w/f is COMPLETED.

Some thoughts......

1. Has this happened before?

2. Double-check the WF Admin is maintained correctly. If it is a position/org unit make sure none of the relationships have expired...

3. Go to SM37 and Check if the job SWWERRE ran after the w/f went into error

4. Check the Read/Unread folders of the inbox

Hi Ravi,

1. No it hasnt happened before

2. WF Admin maintained correctly

3. Job SWWERRE runs every 20 mins

4. No trace of message in Inbox.

I think this I might just put this down to a one-off and re-investigate should it recocurr into the future.

Hello DK,

Fine check your Task assigned as GENERAL TASK. and check SWEL if nay using EVENTS in your workflow.

by the by what is your name DK.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies. The background job in SWDD is scheduled to run every 20 mins and the task is set to General Task. any other ideas ?
