LSMW ERROR

when i follow the sted READ DATA in lsmw

i got the following error

Error when uploading the file 'c:\lsmw.txt' (Return Code = 13).

plz help.

Hi Fresher,

The LSMW generates an abap program which is run in the steps from read data and on. In the program u can see it uses the 'gui_upload' FM and the Return Code = 13 comes from there. Return Code = 13 means 'access denied' - but only u can check why (may be someone else opened it and holds it, etc.).

Hi,

The error seems to be like , the file is not existing in the C drive.

Create a text file with data & assign that file in the ASSIGN FILE STEP.

to find out the exact picture follow like this ..

once execute a read step .. u will get a selection screen. there put /H debug the program.. here u can find out , where the error is comiug out ?

Hello,

Most probably you created your text file from an excel sheet.

Looks like the excel file is still opened whicg is loccking the text file.

Just close the excel file and re-read data again.
