hai,

How to create Reference characteristics?pls give me ths steps?

Katyayini,

1. Go to rsd1.

2. Type your InfoObject name

3. Click on new icon.

3. Enter description and Reference char fields (In the ref char, enter the io you want to reference for example 0MATERIAL)

4. Click on the check mark and activate the IO.

Hi Devi,

Reference charecterstic means If we want to use the properties of a charecterstic to other we will mention the charecterstic as reference.There is no seperate thing called reference charecterstic.Any charecterstic can be a reference.

Create a new char jst as u do - bt in d prompt where u enter Tech Name & Description - Flag Reference Char - Select the Char - Okay - Activate.

Master data will be shared among both chars.
