Hi experts,
I have an SAP to Web Service scenario.
The Web service inserts data into an oracle database.
The Web Service returns true if the insert is successfull and returns false if there is any error.
I am communicating asynchronously.
How can I know from XI that the web service returned false and it did not process successfully.
Is there a way of getting acknowledgement and generating emails if the web service returns false.
hi sabbir,
since u are sending the msg asynchronously, ur requirement mey be fulfilled using BPM.
u can send the msg to WS and receive a response. this response can then be used to generate email alert to the concerned person.
for details refer:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
and go thru the sample processes that will help you designing ur process logic.

regards,
latika.

Hi Sabbir,
normally WebServices are synchronous. If yiou call the WS synchrounous you will get a responde and you will see the response in SXMB_MONI.
For this, you have to design a synchounous message interface.
See Blogs and How-Tos for more details.

Dear Mario,
I know that WebServices are synchronous and I can get a response back by designing synchounous messages.
But, If I get a message saying that it processed fine then what do do with the message? - I do not need to know if it is successful. I do not want to send the response to some other system of it is a success.
if I get a response saying that it did not process - can I do some configuration to send an email or do something with it at that point in time.
