I have heard that it is possible to consume/invoke a .Net assembly from xMII Business Logic. What is involved in doing this?

In version 11.0, this was possible (11.0 BLS was .NET-based). In 11.5, you'll need to wrap the .NET assembly in a web service or REST-style service.
