Hi guys,

Rules & any documentation to map Product categories from legacy system to Profit centers...unable to approach the issue...any help...thanks

Depends in the business rules and technical attributes.

If product group and profit centre are the same, then may them provided the technical attributes of product group and profit centre are compatible.

If they are not the same, then if you have a business logic to derive one from another, you can do it.

We created a custom infoobject for our legacy products. Inside that custom object we added profit center as an attribute.

When loading the data from your legacy system you have the product, in the update rules map the profit center as a attribute of what ever product is in the record.

Thanks Hubert, but business is in the process of defining the relation between the product -profit center. After they defined & mapped that relation. The best way to call profit center in BI is to go thru the solution you provided or is there any other way.
