Hi,
I used the hightlighted display in the query for the totals but we need to underline them in the workbook. Is it possible to change a setting for this?

Open the wokbook and run the query, then place the cursor on one of the results in the key figures area. Click on the 'Format' button on the BW toolbar and choose "Font" then select the Underline checkbox.
Of course, after making this change, you will need to resave the workbook.

I am using BI7.0 and there is no format button on the BW toolbar. I want a general rule as my workbook has 23 worksheets each of which has highlighted lines at different places. these are not static reports so somehow I have to change the format of the highlighted fields based on the fact the cell is highlighted, not it's position.

Obviously, we are still on BW 3.5 so I have no experience with BI 7.0 yet.
However, I looked through the on-line SAP Help docs and found the following link about the use of Themes with workbooks in 7.0:
