To Change Default Client number in Easy access....

Hi all,

I have a Small doubt. When i open IDES machine, by default client 800 is coming. i have number of clients in my IDES machine.i want some other client ( ex: 600 or 700) should be coming by default, Instead of 800.is it possible? if so, How?

HI Siva,

Change parameter at the default profile using RZ10

parameter: login/system_client

value: Whatever client you want as default....

There is a workaround for the same.

Place the cursor anywhere on the desktop (not on an open Windows application), and click the right mouse button.

Choose New -> Sapgui Shortcut.

Enter the desired name for the shortcut, but keep the .SAP file extension. Choose Enter.

You have now created a file for your shortcut. Next, you must define this file.

Place the mouse on the newly created icon. Click the right mouse button to open the context menu. Choose Edit/Open.

A dialog box appears. Alongwith other details you can specify the client in which you want to login. Also you can specify the opening transaction so that on logging in the same will open up.

In SAP GUI 6.40, tehre is a tab as Shortcut for the same. You can use that too.

For more help on SAP GUI, on the logging in screen select Help -> GUI Help. A SAP Note is also mentioned there to configure the SAP GUI through registry entries
