Installatioproblem - sapstartsrv.exe returned with '-1'

When I am installing 'SAP NetWeaver 90 day trial version' the below error came, can someone help me out on this below error?

sapstartsrv.exe returned with '-1'.

I use Windows XP home SP1

Could you please have a look into:

C:\Programme\sapinst_instdir\j2ee-sneak-preview\install\sapstartsrv.exe.log.

Could it be that you don't have Admin rights? This absolutely prevents you from installing sneak preview.

C:\Programme\sapinst_instdir\j2ee-sneak-preview\install\sapstartsrv.exe.log.

is very poor...it contains only the character "C"

I have Admin rights.

I tryed to start SAPStartServ separatly. following Error occurs: "Cannot register txpe library, RegisterTypeLig faild: 8002801C - Fehler beim Zugrif auf OLE-Registrierung"

Could you please check all other log files in this directory and see if there is any exceptions in there?

Hi Benny and ALL,

We are installing SAP XI3.0 on WebAS6.4 with Oracle9.2

We are <b>NOT</b> installing a sneak-preview.

We are also getting the same error...

I have checked <b>C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\WEBAS_640_J2EE_ADDIN_UC\CS\ALL\sapstartsrv.exe</b>

It has a character '<b>S</b>'

I've logged in as an Administrator only..No doubt about that.

Earlier, We had a problem:

When we opened MMC..we weren't able to see the J2EE instance... we had to restart 3 times..to see it again.

What should we do incase we encounter this situation again..

Please help me in this regard.
