Material Group

Dear SAPpers,

There is an assortment of products that have to be taken into account:

Cheese assortment: items 4711, 4712, 4713

The assignment of an item belonging to an assortment will be possible with a Material group.

That is how i proceed?

created with MM01 3 times items for 4711, then 4712 and

at the end 4713 and for each article or item i went to Basic Data 1 in MM01

and i assigned the Material group Cheese Assortment i created in OSMF

I that like that?

Yes absolutely correct. First you have to create a common material group in <b>OMSF (not OSMF)</b> which can then be assigned to its related materials.

In this case we want to propose to a customer our cheese assortment but how can the enduser automatically access in the system the cheese assortment (Mat group) without needing to look for each item

How is it possible?

Goto <b>VOK0</b> select "Condition Type --> Access Sequence.

Assuming that your pricing condition is PR00, the relevant access sequence is PR02. So select <b>PR02</b> here and select the "<b>Access</b>" tab on the left screen. Some couple of tables will be displayed like 305, 306 etc.,

Include "<b>table 79</b>" here which is for "Sales Organization / Distribution Channel / Material Group combination. Once you assign it, you can maintain your pricing for material group and your end users can also do billing based on material group.

I would like to know if what i did is right.

See i have a Cheese assortment: cheese white 4711

cheese yellow 4712

cheese red 4713

Now i want to group it into one material group for management puposes.

I tried it in the sytem like this OSMF for creating my Mat group for exple:

cheese assortment

Now with MM01 i create 3 times Material (cheese white, red, yellow) and each time i assigned in Basic data 1 in MM01 my material group cheese assortment

i would like to know whether i did it right the grouping of those 3 cheeses into one material group that is cheese assortment.
