is PLM related to CATIA designing course?

Hi,

One of my friends is working on CAD/CAM/CATIA/PRO E. Heard that SAP PLM module is suitable for the candidates with the above designing courses. And he is Diploma graduate.

Is this true?

what are the pre requisites to learn PLM module?

Please guide.

CATIA V5 itself is a PLM Software

May be he can try that one.

I think he can focus on that one (Since his exposure is in CAD/CAM)

My friend is diploma graduate, how will be the job openings for him? Will Catia experience be added advantage in getting jobs on PLM module?

I don't know about the current job openings

But i think Catia V5 will be the next CAM/CAM Boom.

I think diploma will not be a disadvantage.

His exposure to CAD/CAM will definitely be an added advantage
