Special Ledger Delta vs Full Loads

hello!

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the delta load and a full repair load for special ledger extracts?

We did a selective delete and then a repair load and it looks like it picked up data from the special ledger Totals table, whereas subsequent deltas look like it's getting data from the line item tables. It's the same datasource and even the same infopackage that was copied and then changed from a delta to a full repair request.

Is there some background process that happens that automatically swiches the source table from Totals to line item?

Also ... we only created a Totals datasource and not one for line item. This being the case, we're confused as to why our BW delta data matches the Line Item data and not the Totals data.
