Hi
Source Release R/3 4.6C(4.6D-Ext) Oracle Target Release SAP ECC6.0 Oracle
Document:PUBLIC Upgrade Guide
SAP ERP Central Component 6.0 ABAP Support Release2
In page 87
It has been written as :

Number of parallel processes during production operation
This is the number of background and activator processes that can run in the system during production operation. We recommend a value of 1. If you have enough main memory, you can use up to three processes.

- and -

Number of parallel import processes
The number of parallel processes used by R3trans to import data into the database. We
recommend three processes for machines with 512 MB (and greater) main memory. Up to eight parallel import processes are possible for multiprocessor hosts with sufficient main memory.

to decide on theNumber of parallel processes during production operation and Number of parallel import processes, is there any other reference or any SAP Note or something, which can help us to clearly calculate the values for both.
Thanks in Advance.
Best Regards,
Paguras
