Hi All,
We are upgrading our SRM 5 system to Unicode compliant. SRM system interfaces with a third party Catalogue tool, i.e., 'Perfect Commerce'. I have a query here, after the upgrade say we send a Chinese Catalogue to the third party tool, will it fine. Is there any configuration or any additional steps we would need to perform for specific languages to work with third party Catalogue tool?
Please let me know if you need additional inputs. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Kamna
Hello Kamna,
It depends on your catalog.
1. If the catalog is OCI 4.0 compliant, SRM sends http_content_charset=UTF-8 and catalog side generates item return page based on received http_content_charset. OCI works fine.
2. If the catalog is not OCI 4.0 compliant, you should define http_content_charset_enabled in BBPSC* services and define catalog side Charset in catalog customizing. Please check the SAP Note 846194 OCI/OPI: Code pages and system language.
Regards,
Masa
