Upgrade 32 bit -> 64 bit and DB Oracle 9.2 -> 10.g

Hi,

We are upgrading our SAP system from SAP 4.6c to SAP ERP 6.0.

Prior to the upgrade we are upgrading:

• The SAP server from 32 bit to 64 bit

• The Oracle database from 9.2 -> 10.g

Our Development, QA and Production environment will be upgraded starting with the development environment. This means that we in a period will have a development system running (64 bit, Oracle 10.g) and a QA/Production environment running (32 bit, Oracle 9.2).

In this period are we able to transfer transports (customizing/workbench) from Development to QA/Production without problems?

Best regards,

Simon

yes, of course.

In addition it is also supported to run mixed systems (some 32 Bit and some 64 Bit application servers in the same system).

Hi there

You certainly can transport from a system with oracle 10g to oracle 9i. I have gone through this many times. No note here

I just checked, and it is also possible to transport from 64-bit to 32-bit. Just have a look at note 192822 (number 15.).

Best regards

Michael
