How can I get DB13 to have the option to optimize statistics.
The oracle version is 10.2.0.2
Hi William,
Goto DB13 --> Select Date on which you want to schedule it --> Select Check and update optimizer statistics

Long time I do not check some error like this.
Can you go to se16
table sdbac
dbsys=ORACLE
can you see if in the list appear the "missing" option?
something Like:
STATS ORACLE * E UpdateStats Check and update optimizer statistics
If so, double click on it and paste here all the fields.
Forgot to ask.
It is a new installation or an upgrade?
If it is an upgrade, from which version?
Thanks

Dear William
Maybe the parameter is not set in init<SID>.ora file. Check this file for optimizer enable parameter as to
optimizer_mode = choose
optimizer_index_cost_adj = 10
optimizer_features_enable = 9.2.0
You can also check on Note 540021 for any other required parameter which might be missing.
Hope it helps.

can you call the transaction DB13? Which SAP Kernel do you have? From SAP Kernel 7.00 SP 12 the transaction dbacockpit replaces some transactions like DB13, DB02, ST04 etc... Old DB13 you can call by db13old. Did I understand your question maybe wrong?

I can call DB13, DB13OLD & DBA Cockpit but the option to update statistics is no longer there to choose from.
