Hi

I have to select the field type for currency(13,2). Should I take xsd:decimal for this ?? Here if I take xsd:decimal, 13 is the total number of digits including decimal (".") ?? so is it like that 10 digits before decimal and 2 digits after the decimal ??

thanks

kumar

Hi,

If you are this field is to be inserted to a database and the Currency field type is Decimal in the DB, then i would recomend this field be made a Decimal in XI too.

13,2 would be 13 characters in total with 2 decimal places.

Hey

>>whether decimal point (".") is also included in 13 ??

it depends upon the people who made the functional spec.

even i m using 13,2 type of convention and my Functional people say that the value will have a total of 13 characters, out of which 10 will be before decimal,2 after decimal and one is decimal itself.

Thanx

Aamir
