IPC version

I am looking for the easiest way to determine what version of IPC we are running on SRM (in a Unix environment).

I have executable date / timestamps but have not been able to crossreference that to an IPC version number.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,

Jeff Henke

Hi Jeff

Have you tried seeing \ipc\bin\properties\IPC.properties file?

unfortunately, I do not have /properties directory under /bin.

I looked through the IPC filesystem, but didn't see it anywhere. Is what you are referring to standard across UNIX SAP (SRM / IPC) installations?

I have only access now to an SRM 5, and IPC is integrated, what I said you I saw in a document. which version of SRM you have?

Yeah, that explains it.

We are running SRM 4.0, IPC is "external".

Hi,

You can check the RFC to IPC and there you can get the host where you could see the version. Some FM type COM_IPC* could give you information.

Pls reward points for useful answers.
