Batch determination on reservation

Gurus,

I have a question concerning batch determination. Is it possible to do this in a reservation (MB21). I created batch search strategy and it works on transfer posting 311 in MB1B. When I do exactly the same (with the same material, storage locations,...) i get the error "The storage location/batch function '*' is not defined here"

Is there any way to activate this? I'm working on 4.6B.

Hi Jan,

You can realise that why SAP does not give a batch determination during the creation of reservation. It is due to the fact that reservation is just an indication & when actual material issue or transfer happens, then this batch may not be avaialble. So as per funstionality it is 100% fine.

You would have to go in for a development if it si 100% business needs.

Hi

In MB21 , you are creating the reservation.

But in MB1B, you are posting the goods.

Batch search strategy works in goods posting only.

Hence it is not possible in MB21.
