Hi all,

I am trying to connect R/3 4.7 server from SAP GUI 640 (patch 16).

I am able to login but when I execute transactions which extract data(heavy) eg. ST22, PFCG, ST03 , it is giving the below error.

<SID>: Connection to partner broken

Time Thu Oct 15 13:00:15 1998

Component NI (network interface)

Release 640

Version 37

Module ninti.c

Line 789

Method NiPRead(<IP Address>/sapdp00, hdl 2)

Return Code -6

System Call recv

Error No 10054

Error Text WSAECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer

Counter 2

But I can access the same server from the same network in other system with same GUI version and patch level.

Can any one tell me the reason and the solution for this problem.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Eshwar

Hi Eshwar,

What it seems it may be a network time out problem.

Pl have a look at Note 413330 - Network timeouts. This may help.

Otherwise pl revert back.

Pl award suitably.

Hi Manas,

Thanks for the reply.

I have added the registry values in the client system as per the note, but there is no change. I am still unable to access few Tcodes. Is there any other way to rectify the problem.

Hi,

Pl check if it is network prob.

ping the server with larger packets from both the clients (i mean from where it works properly and from where it doesnt)

ping <ipaddress of server> -l 65500

check the average time what it takes.

Hi Manas,

I have tried to ping using the given parameters in both the systems, but in both the systems I am getting Request timed out.

What can I do now???

Eshwar,

Check with your network team once, this seem's to be a N/Work problem only.

Hari.

Hi Manas,

I want to tell you one more thing.

I was able to access the server previously. I am facing this problem for the last 10 days. In the same system I am unable to connect to the server through MSTSC also.

bye

MSTSC ie remote desktop connection?

There got to be a prob in the network setting someehere somehow.

Pl check with the network people relating to the ports and firewall settings etc

Try to change the cat6 cable.
