If there is a price change happening after the goods have been issued, the production orders will not get the impact of the price change of the components issued to it.

When a price change happens, be it MR21 or release of a new cost estimate, the system will check the quantity in that plant, compare the old and new price and make the accounting document changing the value of the inventory.

Hi,

I don't think so.

First you need to book the entry in in GR/IR clearing account.

1.Stock A/C ...DR

to GR/IR CLGA/C

(For the total value of stock)

2.Second entry will be for the accepted goods from supplies(As there will be rejected goods or not upto the mark, and retunable , So we cannot give full credit to vendors )

GR/IR A/C................DR

To VendorA/C

(to the extent the value of goods accepted---)

and further entries are in same line....................

Hi

To give you a brief idea

a. On purchasing the stock:

Debit stock

Credit Supplier

b. On manufacturing/ Work in progress

Debit: Material

Overheads

Other cost

Credit: WIP

c. On completion

Debit:WIP

Credit:Finished goods

d. On sale of goods

1. Debit: Customer

Credit:Sales

2. Debit: Finished goods

Credit:Cost of goods sold

It can also be explained in detail with Order to cash and Procure to Pay cycle.

Thanks

Usha
