We have an issue regarding the MRP run for one of the plants.
According to the clients requirement we have configured 2 different plants, one is a manufacturing plant and the other is not manufacturing plant, but just procuring and selling of hardware materials.
In hardware stores, the stocks are not maintained for all items. We are maintianing stocks for fast moving items only i.e around 25% of the total items.For non stock items, the indent is raised based on the sale order.
For stock items, the quantity to be indented is based on the following:
1) Quantity required as per sale order.
2) Available stock.
3) Taking into consideration the past consumption and lead time, the quantity to be indented is determined.PR is raised accordingly.
To illustrate the above points:
a) Item : Locks.
b) Quantity required as per sale order - 300 nos.
c) Available stock - 1000 nos.
d) Lead time( Domestic-) - 45 days.
e) Past consumption per month - 1200 nos.
f) Quantity reqd as per consumption based planning(CBP) :
Required stock level = 1200 / 30 x 45 = 1800 nos.
Quantity required as per sale order - 300 nos.
Total = 2100 nos.
Available stock - 1000 nos.
PR to be raised for 1100 nos.
To determine the required quantity.
Go to stocks and verify the stock availabilty.
To relase PR for the balance required quantity - if any,after taking into account the re-order point.
For items where the re- order points is not defined and the stock is nil, the PR should be raised for sale order quantity.
This scenario has to be mapped into SAP
Can anyone just some procedures for this
