SAP GUI 7.1 -- Error when executing Reports in Analyzer - Vista / Office 07

Hi All

I am running GUI 7.1 FEP 4 and when I try to execute a query in Analyzer , I face critical program error. I use Vista / Office 2007. When I check the trace I could find the error trace as follows.

BExConnect.Trace3: 0.02

BExExcelTraceListener.AddTraceListener: Added a tracelistener for Version: 7100.0.461

BExConnect.constructor2: 11.11

BExConnect.RegistrySet: Access to the registry key 'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SAP.BusinessExplorer.Analyzer\ApolloPath' is denied.

BExMenu.CreateSubMenu1: 0.06

BExMenu.CreateSubMenu2: 0.65

ListSeparator: ,

Seems that the Access to Registry key is denied.

Any Suggestions / Solutions to overcome this.

In the Windows registry I dont find any key as SAP.BusinessExplorer.Analyzer\ApolloPath

but I could see the registry key as

SAP.BusinessExplorer.Analyzer\Path

PS: I dont have any issue when I use the Analyzer from BW 3.x GUI.

Shyam,

Did you install Bw 3.5 and/or BI 7.0? It seems like the order in patching can cause problems. My guess is that what you are running is going against 3.5 and it's not installed. I think there are some posts inhere about that.

Thanks for your reply. I uninstalled all the Front end components and later reinstalled GUI 7.1 & FEP 4.
