Valuation Logic during transfer posting with reversal movement type

The business has a requirement of transferring inventory from unrestricted stock of one plant to blocked status in different plant. Currently the movement type 343 is used for this purpose and this is causing inventory valuation issues because of different moving average prices in different plants.SAP has suggested to created a new movement type and also creating a new quantity string type(SAP Note 180503.

Can anyone help how to create a new quantity string for creation of new movement type?

Here is the example and the requirement

Example:

1:S004 and S001 are two plants and the requirement is to move inventory from unrestricted status of S004 to Blocked Stock status in S001. (This move is not initiated in SAP but from a Warehouse management system (Not SAP) and the move is updated in SAP using Movement Type 344).

2: In the Beginning the Number of units on hand =10 and cost =$20 and actual unit cost =2.00 in Plant S004 and units= 20 and cost =$20 and actual unit cost = 1.00$. Then the total inventory value =$40.

3: A transfer is performed of 5 units of S004 unrestricted status to S001 blocked status using movement type 344 which results in increase of inventory to 25 units and cost to $25.00. The unit cost value transfer takes place at the MAP of the receiving site i.e. $1 in S001. As a result of this transfer then actual unit cost increases to $3.00 and upon multiple transfers the unit cost becomes $11.00.

4: A Physical Inventory (The 932 movement type is a custom movement type used to post shrink) is performed and 10 units were found and 10 units were added into the S004 Plant the current inventory value becomes $110.00 as the movement posting takes place at the current MAP at the site. Upon multiple transfers the unit price becomes $51.00.

Note :

The requirement is to create a custom movement type which will move the inventory from S004 (sending site unrestricted status) to S001 (receiving site Blocked status) at the MAP of the S004 (sending) site.

An 2 step transfer option is not feasible with the Warehouse Management system as it cannot process two movements 301 and 343 as one move in the system and business requires custom movement type. Any suggestions or ideas for creation of this movement type are appreciated.

Your problem is not clear. The referred note is for transfers using reversal movement types. 343 is not a reversal movement type.

It would be helpful if you can explain your problem with an example.

P.S. I do not feel you need to create a new quantity string. FYI, the table for quantity string is T156M
