Acitvation of repository objects

after defining the objects we Acitvate the repository objects.why we need to activate them? what happend after activation in background?

Hi,

activation is the same for all SAP developments.

While you are working/programming/modifying a program, object, etc.. the system is still using the last version of this, that means that until you activate your object/program, the system will not use the new version.

To make the latest version of the object available for use in the scenarios

The older versions of the objects are removed and maintained in history and the latest version replaces it.

Activating an changed object...finalizes the changes..
