Compare SAP GUI 6.40 and SAP GUI 7.10

Hi,

Currently we have SAP GUI SAP 6.20 installed in our system. We are upgrading R/3 system to Unicdeo complaint for that we need to Upgrade GUI to minimum 6.40.

Our Landscape includes SRM 5, BI 7.0 for a third party tool we need Engineering Client Viewer too. We use Java IM plugin for our SRM system.

Which SAP GUI wll be more suited to install in the systems: 6.40 or 7.10 and why?

Hello Kamna,

when taking this decision you should take into account that the maintenance for SAP GUI for Windows 6.40 will end on 14th of October 2008.

Therefore SAP's recommendation is to go for SAP GUI for Windows 7.10.
