Basis Administration

We have staff positions in our company called Basis Administrators. Last year's TechEd preached that Basis was dead, and everything was NetWeaver. This year, they seemed to back off, with many references to Basis admininstration.

Is 'Basis Administrator' still a good title for these people, or is there something more current and appropriate?

I would say Netweaver administration is the new name for Basis Administraton. I think the latest is AS administration ( Application Server ) .The name is related to release of your SAP , Whether it is R/3 , Netweaver or AS. Whatever it is everyone do the same work ..
