ESS/MSS upgrade from EP 6.0 to EP 7.0

Hi

currently we have ESS/MSS implemented in EP 6.0. Plans are to upgrade to EP 7.0. Please let me know things to be taken care during this upgrade w.r.t. migration of ESS/MSS content. Appreciate if there is any checklist to carry out this activity and any helpguides.

make sure you also upgrade EA-HR in R/3

If I am correct, this appears to be a technical upgrade from EP 6.0 to EP 7.0. Are you planning to upgrade the Business package versions too?

Yes it is a technical upgrade from EP 6.0 to EP 7.0.

I am seeking help on to know whether the Business Packages also have to be upgraded, or any modifications have to be done for them to work in EP 7.0 or they would work fine once they are migrated in to EP 7.0 .

They should be working fine, supported you need to unit and integration testing after the EP upgrade. I didn't find any major issues for just BP migration to EP 6 to EP 7.

Also, it is a purely business call to upgrade the business packages too. If you are responsible for that, provide all the new enhancements to your customer ( also include Enhancement package 1 & 2) and then get a final list that you want to go for ESS / MSS.
