Patch of the J2EE-Engine of an ABAP + Java Add-In installation to SP11

Hi,

I want to patch the Java server of an ABAP + Java Add-In installation to SP11.

I performed the task "Apply Support Package 11". After selecting the right profile I'm requested to pass the SAP Client number, RFC-User and password.

I applied the values, but I always get the error message the password is wrong! I used "DDIC" as RFC-User.

Can anyone help me what will be wrong here?

Hello Cemal,

I think you should use the User SAPJSF which should have been created during the initial installation.

Hi Gregor,

according the Support Package Stack Guide it is recommended to user the DDIC-User. But I could also not login with the SAPJSF-User.

It says always the password is wrong.

Via SAP-GUI I am able to login successfully into the system.

Hi,

the reason was an old sap kernel. The sap kernel has to have a patch >= 18. See SAP Notes #792850, #735356, #502999 and #664679.

Kind regards.
