Keyboard navigation and selection in Tree UI Element

Dear Web Dynpro gurus,

The users of our WD application are asking about navigation and selection of nodes in a Tree UI hierarchy using the keyboard (without using the pointing device). It appears to be possible to expand and collapse tree nodes and move up and down using the arrow keys. But it does not appear to be possible to actually select the tree nodes, for example, by pressing Enter after navigating to a particular leaf node. When you navigate with the arrow keys, the nodes are "shadow highlighted" but don't actually appear to be selected. So the Enter key has no effect.

Is is possible to do this? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Regards,

Kelly

Did you try pressing "SPACE"?

Doh! No, I didn't try "space", Armin. But it works! Our Intermec users may not like the idea of having to press the function key followed by "space", but that definitely does work.

Thank you very much for you quick response!

Best regards,

Kelly
