As far as I know not directly, but via account determination (VKOA) and default account assignment (OKB9) you can assign cost centers to cost element posted to via SD documents.

In VKOA you assign G/L accounts for revenue (and cost) postings in FI.
Sales order are created in SD. Via VKOA you make the link between SD and FI.
For controlling (CO) purposes you can assign cost centers to the corresponding cost elements via OKB9 transaction.
