Good morning.
The following question regarding workbook authorizations. A user has created a workbook and wants other users to be able to change and re-save that workbook. They all do have access to this workbook via shared roles.
We have granted access to all activities in the "S_RS_COMP1" authorization object, generated the role, with no success. The 'owner' is set to $USER
What access is required for other users to change and save another user's workbook?
Thank you so much and have wonderful weekend.

Hi Cornelius,
The authorization for workbooks is not under responsibility of S_RS_COMP or S_RS_COMP1. Those 2 are only for queries and query components.
Usually workbooks are assigned to Roles and this is the way how to share them between users. Therefore you need to allow changing of Role Menu for corresponding Role using S_USER_AGR authorization object.
The workbooks should be stored in the Roles and not in the Favorites of users.
This is important to enable this authorization concept.
Best regards,
Maxim

Hi
provide authorization for The Query & Cube.
Add the query/Workbook to the role in PFCG.
Create/ Assign Authorization profile.
Assign Authorization objects S_RS_COMP & S_RS_COMP1
Provide desired authorization for Diaplsy,Execute etc.
You can try doing the acitivites through the GUI (in that case also check for object S_GUI) which might give you the result back from the SU53 screen
give authorization to objects S-RS_COmp and S_RS_COMP1 to the users who need to modify queries. in that objects under activities, include change authorization. Generate the role after granting the authorization
