External users can't access Portal Content

Hi, All:

The landscape is one EP and two backend systems: BW and CRM. For security, only ports from EP is exposed to external user from internet.

The content from BW and CRM is integrated into EP both in standard BP, iViews and WebGUI way.

The problem currently we met is the external user can't access the content from BW and CRM, but can access those EP local content, such as forum. All the user from internal LAN can access all the content very well.

BTW. EP: 6.0

CRM: 4.0

BW: 3.5

Anyone here met the some problem? Is there any solution for that?

Any info will be highly appreciated!!!

Thanks a lot!

Yes - the portal is NOT a proxy ......

When you access an iview that connects to the backend system it is effective right from the user browser - your connections are being bounced by the firewall.

The only way round this is to implement a hardware proxy which should solve your problem.

Hi,

Kindly check that these content are having permissions for everyone? External users are able to access EP content just because those content are assigned with Everyone permission.

Hope this helps,

Hi, Ameya:

Thanks for your info.

It's not the permission problem. The same user from outside still has the same problem.
