hi

One of our new administrators deleted the last redologs accidentally at file system level. The logs are set to Auto log in DBM.

The system hasnt been stopped and restarted. So is there a command that we can use to reset the logs so that we can maintain their consistany.Apart from restoring from backup its Maxdb 7.6

Any ideas welcome

Take a full backup of the system (also online) so you have a new starting point from where you could recover in case of an error.

thanks for you response

So there shouldnt be a problem when starting and stopping the database?i did an online complete backup and it completed successfully. So if i stop and start the database will it be able to come up without any errors because of the last missing redologs?

Yes.

The logs are not needed for a restart (why should they?), all the changes in those logs are already in the database.
