Drop Down List

I created a Drop Down list button for Profit center field right click and then I have choosen Profit center from data service and value = key_ext

but still the when i display the report in drop down list no values are coming.

please help me with navigation on exactly what i am doing wrong so that i can populate the value of profit center in drop down list.

Hi Sonia

U may not have properly selected the required import parameters and export parameters for u r drop down list,

ouptut port:

field = value, assigned value = @Key (u can assign values u want through formulas)

field = text, assigned value = @textu can assign values u want through formulas)

and u can test ur drop down by adding some static values by adding it to addtional value entries

Have you tried to test the data service independently. Drag it on storyboard and first test it, is it working and returning the values?

If you have done all the steps correctly (refer <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/96/c33a3382914f6d8aeba11413e3e356/frameset.htm">THIS</a> and <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/bf/39becc90824d4d999eb05336345e5e/frameset.htm">THIS</a>) for creating the drop down, then check for the user mapping in the portal and his permissions to access the data from backend.

To check the user mapping, login into the portal, go to user administration and search for the user name you are using to deploy the application. Click on the user in the search result, navigate to User Mapping tab and check the username and password.
