while creating a business system.

there is the logical system name at step 2,

there is the business system name at step 3.

what do they feature respective and difference between logical system name and business system name?

Hi,

Business Sytem is the service fro sender system or receiver system and Logical system is the system name where u want to send the data.

suppose ur doing a snerio File to IDOC then that SAP Sytem logical system name SAP100 that sholud be given in Business system,if u dont give then data will not pass.

Logical system is the identifier of the system that is defined in the source/target system.

Business system is the identifier registered in SLD of XI which can be different from that is defined in source/target system. In simple words it is identity of the target/source system in XI.

For eg: R3XCLNT100 is the logical system defined in SAP system R3X with client 100. It's associated business system that can be defined in XI as NOKIA100.

Business system is the name of the sender or receiver which represents a particular technical system and is registered in SLD

Logical system name are system identifier when u r doing idoc related communication.
