Hi Gurus,

Can any once explaine me "Frozen Period" Scenario?

At present we are not locking down our planning so we do rescheduling as and when required without documenting. Now we want to use frozen period of certain weeks. Would there be any considerable impact on our business?

Can any one explain me using my following scenario?

We are manufacturing C-14(product) on work center 1320. In present condition we can rescedule any planned / production order .

I don't want system to reschedule for certain period (frozen period) automatically. Also I want planner to change this with warning and not without entering proper reson/text for that reschedule.

Can you please explain me this with steps?

Thanks in advance.

Shiv

Hi,

I think u r asking about planning time fence. If it is right u can go through these.

5 types are available in MRP and MPS metthod.

ie, PD,P1,P2,P3,P4. Likewise M0,M1,M2,M3,M4.

1.PD - Normal procurement proposal.

2.p1 - planned order which lies between pl time fence, automatically firm. New procurement dispalced to end of planning time fence.

3.p2 - planned order which lies between pl time fence, automatically firm. No new procurement.

4.p3 - planned order which lies between pl time fence, not firm automatically . New procurement dispalced to end of planning time fence.

5.p4 - planned order which lies between pl time fence, not firm automatically . No new procurement.

PD = M0, P1= M1, P2 = M2, P3 = M3,P4 = M4.

If useful reward your points.
