I created a formula XYZ that multiplies a formula variable and a key figure. The overall result for formula XYZ appears as X.
The formula variable appears to affect the overall result value.
The formula variable is defined as follows:
Type of variable: Formula
Proccessing type: Replacement path
Ref characteristic: GL account
Replace variable with: InfoObject
Replace with: Hierarchy attribute
Attribute: Sign change
How do I get it to show overall result. I tried setting <b>'Calculate Result as'</b> to Total but same result.
Make sure you have the characteristic in rows on which Formula variable is created. You can hide this from display if you dont need. or it works even if you have it in free chars

Hi,
There are several reasons for the "X" in result. try by using data function in Query design. like NODIM, NODIV(X), NOERR.
If the KF is value and formaula variable in value then there will be problem.
if the value is 1/0 then there will be X in result.
If it is using the replacement path variable method, then in the query you need to use the depended infoobject also, because onely by displaying the main value, action of RPV starts.
hope in your case you need to consider GL account also in Query.
