SHDO - Check value in a field and set another field as mandatory

Hi,

The requirement is to in IW31/IW32 in the components tab if they enter Item category as N and in the next pop up screen the requirement quantity field is to be made mandatory. I tried for th screen variant but not sure if it will work. Please let me know if I could do this with the same SHD0 or some other exits.
